Do these sound "better than keyboards"- if u are tracking a keyboard with low end pres and converters software synths are going to sound much better (bigger and have more presence), if tracks properly- its all opinion.
Most analog synths, as well as some digital hardware ones (particularly the virus t.i. which sounds better than most analog because of its great anolog converters), sound much better than motifs, fantoms, as well as the software mentioned above.
In reality, u can make beats with just about anything on the planet, so its up to u to choose your weapon. I would choose the plugsound gladiator combo- they sound really clean and cheesy which is probably what ur going for. Nexus is pretty bad low quality samples covered with fx. |
