It can want a little high end boost in some situations (although not all) but it takes it beautifully and with or without a boost it has a rich and fat midrange that makes a vocal sound . . . Right. There are lots of great mics and this one is pricey - you have to decide for yourself whether it's worth it to you. But I LOVE mine - smooth as silk, and buttery. Personally, I wouldn't swap for a K47 - I don't believe I could EQ in that fat midrange if I had the K47 whereas I am sure I can give the M7 air with EQ. EIther way, it's a fine piece of equipment, though.
