Update:
I intended to sell the Studio 2 to raise money for a family member. That's what led me to offering it right here.
The harassment by a certain builder and his constituents has been anything but fun. But at least everyone will have MY take on the circuit, which is extremely close to the original Redd.47. Update 2:
Here's a summary of my experiences the past week or two:
For weeks I have been fielding legitimate inquires from those "toying" with me, to see if I would make them a replica of the Revolution preamp. These people are friends of John Hinson. It seems a group has gathered from another forum and thought it was in their best interest to harass me, demand proof of whatever, and then accuse me of things I did not do and did not say. Some of the ridiculous requests I had were, "I want six preamps done exactly like the Revolution preamp." Which is silly, and slightly paranoid "investigation" work on the part of Hinson and/or friends. Or, "I want everything like Hinson, but I want you to make it".
This sort of thing kept up over time, and then the attacks on this forum started. Which is why a lot of it is deleted posts by me. I just about gave up on Gearslutz, not totally realizing that these were the same friends of John. Meanwhile, I fielded even more p.m's and emails, always with a legitimate response, and never accused anyone of "stringing me along" even though I had strong suspicion they were John and his friends. And most importantly, I never offered anyone a "clone of Hinson's preamp". It seems friends of John Hinson, including one Recording the Beatles Book author, and whatever John's new company is, along with this entourage's local forum hangout, wanted to paint me as a thief of his work. Which is funny. If I'm going to steal anything, wouldn't most people want it to be the ideas from the creators of the original EMI unit, the Redd.47.
So these people are now in this thread. And the nastiness continues.
But I don't have time for these things, especially when now is a time I need to spend more quality time with family than ever. So if you have a question it might be better to ask it privately and avoid the crowd that has surfaced in the latter part of this thread.
Sometimes you try to do a good thing in this world and it just falls apart. But you have to pick yourself up, shake the dust off, and say, "what's next."
Thanks again and Best regards;
Jake

Here's a quick mix sample. Vocals and guitar (wait for chorus). Sound like the real deal? Excuse the lame vocals.
