Which is, forgive me for being blunt, exactly what you deserve...
Why do people make the mistake of assigning "manager" status to an inexperienced, non-manager, friend, etc? Would you hire a lawyer that way? "okay Joe, you be the lawyer and I'll be the client."
You said he is a "Known drug dealer and all-around slimeball". You may not have known at first, but that just shows you didn't ask around.
I wish you no ill will, but I also have no sympathy.
People in show biz need to learn this lesson - DON'T HIRE "PLAY" MANAGERS!!!!
When you are ready for genuine management, it will present itself.
And if you do start to actually have a viable career, you're just going to have to hire a real manager - have fun paying double commissions!
You need a lawyer, my friend. slander and libel are something you can fight. WITH AN ATTORNEY.
