| Getting this off my chest.. Maybe a good thing..
So, just some bkgrnd..
Lost my Father to cancer 7 years ago..
Almost lost my Mom to cancer last year, but she pulled thru..
Anyway.. I work during the day in Computers as well as Audio engineer/produce to pay for my Audio equipment ...
So I work Downtown and my window behind me looks out onto the street.
I got up for a cup of coffee and on my way back, I noticed a women parked crooked on the side of the street, kinda blocking one lane.
Her head was leaning back against the head rest of her seat and she looked like she wasnt breathing or taking short breaths..
I honeslty thought she was having a heart attack. So I leave my office and go out to her car. She was beside herself in grief. The woman couldnt catch her breath and was obviously in shock. Someone close to her had called and told her that her husband passed away. He had cancer and was home with a hospice person.
He was alert when she left ..
What was worse was that she was traveling from talking to a priest about coming over to her house to give him his last rights soon. She never got a chance to say goodbye to him..
7 years after seeing a loved one pass brought me right back in the blink of an eye.. I could have changed places with her.. It felt that real all over again.
The look in her eyes said it all.. The only thing I could do was comfort this poor woman.
Time to go drinking..
