Wow a lot of Questions...

Thanks so much for all the questions, I will try and answer some of them on a day off. Right now I am finishing mixing two young Bands Nural and The Urgency. Then I mix Underoath and then start producing and mixing the next Breaking Benjamin.
A lot of the questions here are truly great and I can tell there are a lot of serious Engineers and Producers here. I may not have all the answers you want and if I do not I apologize in advance. I will however try and get the right answers.

As I previously said I work with three truly incredible engineers and editors. They have been with me for many years and we have made many records as a team. I started with them when they were all quite young. Each guy has an expertise and brings so much musicality to the records we make. They are my dream team.

It also really helps to own your own studio as many of you do. Knowing the room and the gear is so important in developing your sound. It is such a great reference point to start any mix or recording.

I am a member of many forums and discussion groups, I really lke the honesty and open attitude they bring. I really am not one for immaturity, If I ignore you its probably because you have embarrassed yourself in front of everyone.

Making records today is serious business, one that takes many hours of dedication and focus. Editing and recording are all moving at such a fast rate that we all have to keep on top of everything to stay on our game.

I have used this forum a few times to gain knowledge, the people that helped me were always respectful and kind. This community works.

Having said that, I have made a lot of records before Riot and quite a few after. I hope to make many more.
Thanks again for all your kind words.
David
