I read somewhere that the Duet sounds similar to the Ensemble and not as nice as having a Rosetta 800. It may be a great way to go for thx1138. |
Hey Poppbot.I have no idea who designs the audiofire 8 just know the echo brand.I suggested the converter to a good mate and he found it absolutly excellent(home use) He is using it with adam a7.I tried it in the shop and...well its very very close to the rme stuff and even accelerates in the highs over it imo.For that price it is a steal! I heard..in a review here that an a/b test with the rosetta and the audiofire 8 was made and ..people were choosing the echo more often then the rosetta,as i have limited exp with the apogee i have NO idea if it holds value but its worth checking out imo.The drivers of the echo are also TOP my mate plugged it into the build in fw ( texas inst) and it just worked even at low latency.I mean its under 500$? It is worth checking! If you dont like it...rme ff400 or multiface.Or if you want to drown yourself into endless possibilities...creamware(sonic core now).
