I'd check out the Beyer M-88 for vocals unless you want to pick up every truck for miles around! The brand new versions of the AKG 414 should also be on your shortlist as should a pair of Schoeps mikes.
The Lynx cards sound better to me than the Apogees of a couple years ago. Mytek and Benchmark should be checked out in addition to Lavry and the brand new Apogees.
