My P-1/GR and API are side by side, there is no match up when it comes to tracking vocals, the MA5 stands alone from the other guys, very different as well. Only other pre that i love on vocals is my John Hardy, still wishing that it will come out in a 500 series.
Owning a MA5 is a different story than hearing the shoot out of one on GS.
