| I finally had a chance to fire up my new MA5s and tracked some acoustic guitar. Oh my... I'm thrilled with how these sound. I did some test tracks through the MA5, a BAE 312a and BLA modded Digi002 mic pres. My favorite was the MA5 with the 28k switch enaged. Just really full sounding with a gorgeous top end. The BAE was a little dark for my taste on acoustic. Surprisingly the modified 002 pres sounded pretty good as well.
