After having one of the best designers help me out with my room (Bob Alach

To be honest, if you are mastering, get a reputable acoustic consultant in the room and have him tell you what kind of desk you should have. The placement of the desk, your acoustic treatment, and your studio monitors, and your computer monitors all are big factors in the sound. After struggling with my new mix room's problems, I just had Bob come in and with the new treatments and all the other stuff he did, my room is flat and sounds amazing.
