| Installed the new drivers last night, although I did it after doing all of our work as work was in progress when I got there, so I didn't really test the new drivers so much, except to note that they seemed to work fine when I restarted the computer after installing. I think the real test will be seeing if it works tonight (as my problem seemed to occur only after cycling the master power conditioners -- they're off when we're not in there).
My specs, btw:
Asus P5N-E motherboard
Core2 Duo E6600 @2.40GHz
2GB RAM
XP Pro SP2
I didn't crack the case to take a close look at the PCI firewire card, but it appears as "OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller" in device manager. The mobo built-in FW appears as "VIA OHCI compliant 1394 Host Controller". If the PCI one doesn't say VIA, does that mean it's TI? How many companies make these chipsets?
