No, I just happened to purchase it when I was still more of a bass player than a recording engineer, and I used it when I went into the studio. Like I said earlier, you should try it on just about any single channel source. I now record almost exclusively "live to stereo" so most of my single channel gear is gathering dust and I can't comment about recent use of any of them.
