| I doubt it is foil. The wall looks like it is "bulging" slightly around the edges of the panels which leads me to believe there is some kind of acoustic insulation (703 or 705) underneath. Putting foil over that would defeat the purpose of the insulation since the foil would reflect. I would also go on to say that anyone who would put a highly reflective surface BEHIND their speakers has done absolutely no research on the subject... because it would probably sound horrible. You want to hear the sound from your speakers not what is bouncing off the walls behind them. "Live" is not a good thing when it comes to control rooms... which is not to say that dead is either.... it needs to be a proper balance.
