i would say you are not alone drBill, probably a lot of engineers in your same situation, but, many on the other hand do not have a really nice console, and some will want something a bit more affordable for the lunchbox for field work.
some will just love the way they sound, i loved this, the MINT JUULEP for dynamics, it felt it gave me a sound i was looking for.
i have been saying something alone these line would be great for some time, i am glad someone did it: )~
