I have!

We have a massive Symphony Rig here with two AD16x's and two DA16x's with TWO PCI-e cards;

I have all the interfaces set to advanced routing to equal a total I/O of 64 channels; 32 Analog I/O, 32 Digital I/O. I have the digital I/O connected to our Radar V AES board so we can use Radar conversion with Logic, and Apogee Conversion with Radar. Its just about the most bad ass system I have ever configured.

If your looking for 48 Channels of Apogee Conversion;
You will also need TWO PCI-e cards, as each card only supports 32 I/O.

It will really depend on the configuration that you need, as the Advanced routing feature, opens up a new world of connectivity.

48 Channels would be THREE Ad16x's, THREE DA16x's. Or two AD/DA16x's and Two Rosetta 800's.

Either way, it can be done
