| Hello all and an opinion required please. Hello all,
Just a little about myself.
I make electronic orientated music.I have been surfing this forum on and off for a while (mainly for support issues) but I tend not to contribute to forums as I would prefer to spend my precious little free time making music.
My question is this:
I want to sell my Yamaha SY85. I think it is still a great synth but I never use it as I just use software these days (it's so much more convenient). The SY85 is just stored away and never used and probably won't ever be, though I recently plugged it in and played around. It' is still a great synth.
My dilemma is that I have put it up for sale in a local rag and the best price I have been offered is 200 Euros (about 155 English pounds and about 315 US dollars). I think it is worth more, or is it? I feel I would be far better off keeping it than selling it for that price. Though I would never use it.
What do you think I should do? Accept the offer or not? Could sample based synthesis make a come back like analog did. I used to own an SH 101 and sold it for a pittance. If I had held on much longer I would have got a lot more for it when it was trendy to own one again.
I look forward to your replies. |
