Jeez, ya know...mixing a song is a pretty damn important step in the process of communicating it to a wide audience.
I'd hate to think the mix engineer didn't make some effort to understand the intent of the song, to let that guide the direction or vibe of the mix.
Kind of a no-brainer yo??
