I have not listened to stereo music through quality loudspeakers in an anechoic chamber. I will be the second to admit that. Though I have listened in a room covered entirely with egg cartons which is really pretty much identical to an anechoic chamber. (....just in case...that was a joke.)

I have never come across any professional, in person or in print, that preferred an anechoic environment for listening (all other practical concerns aside). Let me go see what research I can find and I'll report back.
