| using L2 ALOT
I am getting into using the L2 very subtely, but on most channels, and also squashing the shit out of my verbs and delays etc... I love the way it sounds, it's that newer uber-squashed sound that many people truly loathe- I wouldn't dare write about this technique ona standard engineer's forum, I would get so much hate mail, but with dance music there's no rules...except with regards to the mastering and going to vinyl. I have heard that limiting or using 100:1 ratios on individual tracks makes the mastering engineer's job a pain, is that true? when it comes to dance music?
