Liquidmix really needs its own FW bus-otherwise it gets very tempramental. If you use a Macbook Pro its still the same bus even tho there are 2 inputs...if you really want a LM you could use an Express34 to FW card + the main FW input for your 2 FW ports...that could work. But no Express 34 on a Macbook...you need a MBP for that....
Or Go native for the compression. With CSP you can use the low CPU strip if you run out of CPU...
