That all depends on the individual contract. Each contract can and is different. Some people have 3 or 5 day guarantees, some people have none. And that doesn't mean that they're guaranteed 3 or 5 days every week. It just means that if they get a call for one day, they
have to get a call for 3 or 5, depending on their contract. the union does other things as well like making sure you get overtime when you work it, meal penalties for not being allowed lunch or dinner breaks, forced call payment, etc. They also have minimum rates for each classification that you get either hourly or weekly.
