| Mixing ITB Set Up..mike tarsia |
| i created a session of just reverb and efx returns with insert presets and submix returns with inserts and sends
1. plate
2. plate with predelay
3. room
4. chorus
.
5 doubler
6. flanger
7. delay
8. delay with feedback
9. amp farm
you get the idea..when i get a session to mix i just go directly to this session and import the returns i want to use..no creating and inserting it's all there..i also double up on the ones with a/b compare so i get double the set up efficiency
I also have in this in my set up session.. my most common submix aux's with inserts and sends that i commonly put on them
1. SNARE [for sn top and bottom ret
2. TOMS
3. OVDS
4. ROOM
5. GTR 1 -[for gtrs with multiple mikes]
6. GTR 2 [same deal]
7. BKG P1
8. BKG P2
9. BKG P3
10. BKG M ret [ for final sub of bkg tracks]
I use CAPS for SUBS and RETURNS as i use smalls for reg tracks...makes things visually easy to see
It makes life sooo simple i might have to change a bus ret [on the bkgs when i use a mast sub] and of course dial in the inserts ..but they are alreay in, bussed and ready to rock | |
