421's usually for me. Often I put a D112 on floor tom. I just did some drums yesterday and used an ATM25 on floor tom. I think I have to start doing that more often. It has pretty good rejection being hypercardioid. Also those cheap Studio Projects B1 large diaphragm condenser mics make good tom mics.
