I've used LF356's in the past for the 2001's, they come in the to-99 metal can and are relativly cheap. Just be sure the power supply is set to + - 18 volts or below.
National has made some real nice retrofits for this console. The make a LME49860 opamp in the TO-99 metal can. These run up to + - 22 volt supplies. Alternatively, you could buy some Aries TO-99/DIP converters from Digi-Key and drop in a whole bunch of opamps. The Nationals come in dips at a very good price, the cans are expensive. These are 2.7 nv noise spec parts with a -154 db distortion spec. They make a single and a dual version. You can also try BB OPA604/2604's with the aries adaptor, they spec at + - 24 volts for power supplies.
