I've seen a lot of feedback that the Rockit 5's are excellent - for the money. I'm currently using a Blue Sky EXO system (for similar money) that I'm pleased with.

Acoustic treatment in your room is every bit as important as your monitors. Spending $500 on monitors and $500 on room treatment will serve you better than a set of $1000 monitors in a bad room.
