I had one here for a few days as well. I definitely liked it......I found it be very solid sounding. (I can't describe gear worth a durn either.)

I really,really enjoyed it on acoustic guitar.....the mids there were very nice and brought out the "wood" in the tone. I can often find a preamp that gives a nice sparkly/detailed top to acoustic guitar but rarely do I hear one that gets the midrange right sounding to my ear.


I didn't try it....but I from what I heard I don't think it would kick the GR-NV out of my top spot electric guitar preamp.

And yes it is quite a piece of workmanship. Could anchor a small yacht.
