The FetCode doesn't sound like any other preamp I have ever used. It's very musical, for lack of a better term. It's isn't very colored, but it's also not squeaky clean either. I was most impressed with the way it handled dynamics. I have used it on drum overheads, acoustic guitar, male and femal vocals, and piano with very good results. I hope that I'm not being too vague, but describing how a piece of gear sounds has never been my strong suit. I just know that it has sounded very good on every source I have tried it on. Thanks.
