Hey there acoustic experts,
I'm having a bit of trouble with a strong boost at 130Hz in my mix position. I've come to the conclusion that is due to my ceiling as that is approximately the half wave length frequency. I've got many broadband bass traps but hanging something from my ceiling in a rental is going to be interesting. First question is, is 60mm(2.4 inches) bass trap gonna be thick enough? Secondly, FRK is mentioned regularly to keep high frequencies, is "glad wrap"(sandwich wrap) ok for this. The reason being is, that I don't want to use a wooden frame, I was just gonna wrap 2 1foot x 2foot rockwool panels together and hang them with wire.
