What about the Heil
PR-30 or
PR-40? Those are supposed to be nice new alternatives to the standard dynamic line-up. Condenser-ish mics that handle high SPLs? I don't know, just a thought - I've never used either one, but they're pretty well recommended. I still use the ol' SM57/e609.
