That's kind of you to offer to test your precision. I will definitely give Dell a call, hopefully their customer support is sharp enough to have the answer.
This statement by George makes me a bit nervous:
"You can get a PC express card if the built in FW doesn't work.
We have not had good success with the Dell laptops we have tried recently."
Were the problems related only to the FW? Will an express card solve the problems?
