I've had my n12 for a week now, and I'm slowly getting to know the thing. It did help that I read the manual a few times beforehand, so I expect the learning curve to be less steep than usual.

I must say I'm quite overwhelmed by the feel of this unit. No sign of digital-ness whatsoever, as others have pointed out. But the fact that it's digital has allowed the designers to incorporate some very nice little things. For instance, when you press the routing buttons, there's no audible switch click. Instead there seems to be a short audio fade in/fade out. Class.

Analogue mixers often have slight tracking mismatch on stereo faders and knobs, especially at the ends of the pot's travel. No such thing on the n12, since audio does not actually travel through the front panel controls (with the exception of the input gain trims, I suppose). Another benefit of digital technology.

Overall, there's definitely a sense of what I call "passionate engineering" about the n12. I usually don't expect this from big manufacturers, and not at this price level. Well done!
