Yeah man, I can't stand how all good outboard compressors cost almost $200 bucks for unlimited channels. oh wait... I dare say most home engineers can afford a $200 plugin but probably cant throwdown $2800 a TubeTech CL1B.
Seriously though. Theres plenty of cheap plugins out there. If you want cheap, go get them. Theres even an onslaught of free plugins out there. (some of which don't sound so bad)
