Is it possible to find out what the firewire is in a production computer before you buy it? If the built-in one doesn't work can it be changed or can a seperate plug-in type card be purchased that will work? |
You might have to contact the computer manufacturer if it has firewire built in. I added a PCI Firewire card to my Dell and it works perfectly. It has a TI chipset. Here's the approved chipsets.....
