Argh, These look cool but, Why do these companies continue to over look the mid sized studio that needs a nice sized functional controller i.e. C24, Dcommand size. I am feeling like all the companies look at (insert non pro tools DAW here) users as bedroom jockeys trying to save space.

All i want is a C24 style controller with F@#KING METERS! I am old school I worked behind a desk for 15 years. I dont feel right making music without the desk in front of me.

I know you guys will say to use the mackie mcu. I have one with 4 expanders. They have been nothing but trouble. The QC is crap. I have had to replace almost all my faders because they keep dying. Mackie will not replace the units so I am screwed.

At the end of the day I am kinda understanding why studios go to pro tools. They get the big picture. I dont agree with the pricing or the business model but after looking at the non pro tools market I see what they are doing and it makes sense to me.

I have been asking tech guys at tascam and mackie for years why they dont have an actual meter bridge on the controllers. They said why do you need that, look at your screen. I dont want to look at my screen I want to face forward and pay attention to the music.

Well sorry for the rant, I really hoped these would be the answer to my wants but not this time. I guess I will just head off to ebay and look for a used hd system and d-command and give in to the big bad diginaut. I wanted to stay with Logic exclusively but for now it is not to be done.
