The compressor has been improved in Logic 8... Some say the eq has as well. They are usable for sure. Logic comes with some nice tools as well... Correlation meter and phase scopes. The delay is great and the reverb can be metallic at times but all that can be fixed with some tweaking. At one point logic's stock plugins were the best bundle over other daws... I don't know about now but it's up there.
