I have a DAW which is running Cubase 4 and have been using the software compressors and EQ for recording and mixing. I am am curious if anyone has done any comparisons with soft EQ and Compression verses hardware and which do you prefer? Is it better to record with hardware and mix with soft eq and compression if need be or just better to use only hardware for both?
