1st, the reason I say mac is, I have EWQLSO for windows (.dll files) and its the platinum library, however, it is several years old, right before they came out with the XP (or something similar) for more realism.
I haven't been up to date on this stuff for a while. Not sure how much I want to spend but will ask anyway as well as what I have heard, and again, please keep price in mind.
Okay, I don't like Garratian. At least what was out there a few years ago. Also, apparently the EWQL Gold XP is supposed to be a good deal but doesn't work with Mac Intels. Do these have legato type patches now similar to VSL?
VSL Special Edition looks to be pretty good with some good reverb. How well does this library work with Mac Intel? Any out of the box experience similar to EWQL?
Also, "play" is supposed to be pretty good from EWQL, not sure what price points they will have as well as how they compare to say legato patches from VSL..
Please, feel free to interject what you would buy as well as the best way to run this on a MBP and external HD, either FW 800 or eSata.
