couldn't believe it either... i was like "hmmm... guitar mic... snare drum... could work..."
i used it on the bottom with a 57LC on top and ended up almost totally using the e609. i squished up the 57 and filtered it for "thunk", the e609 provided the detail and the character. hypercardioid is always nice for a snare mic too, means you can get away with more compression/reverb/delay without the hihats woofing around |
