+1 on the Manley if you're looking for overlapping mid frequencies. The GML and Avalon are pretty slutty on the buss too.
If you want DEEP lows and High mid sparkle & clarity, an SPL Vitalizer will do amazing things (if you're careful not to OVER PROCESS).
They're pretty cheap too, I paid $650 for mine.
