Elastic Audio

So I did the 7.4 upgrade for my M-powered system and I'm going back through a few older mixes to try and fix some acoustic and electric guitar timing issues.

The issue I keep having to deal with is that I've already compensated all of the tracks for the plug in delays, so when elastic audio puts part of a guitar solo or an acoustic phrase back on the grid in time, I have to do the appropriate nudging to the specific part of the song I'm working on. Once you get into it, it gets really confusing and kind of frustrating. It's an amazing feature, but just another annoying reason to have ADC. I'm sure I'll get used to it but I don't want to!

Honestly. Garageband has had the "elastic audio" feature of quantizing audio tracks to the grid since it came out and it does its own delay compensation for "plugins" and it's a free program. Come on digidesign! Stop being so silly.

rant done.
