Okay, sorry for the rant. Bad country really bugs me because good country is so good.
So many people don't realize that it's impossible to do anything good in country music without some degree of subtlety. The really really good players are just pure sound and mood. They're hardly playing anything. And when they do take a break and do something fancy the tone and phrasing is usually thoughtful, well placed, and perfect for the place it takes up.
Well i'll take your word for it cause i don't listen to much of it anymore.It was alot better 15 years ago i thought ..
