I'm glad you noticed this. This is something that comes about as a result of the analog stage's speed and headroom. When we sent the sound samples to a friend and customer of ours who works with Sony Scoring in LA, he referred to it as 'daylight' in the mids. Although we haven't had an opportunity to use it in a session yet, I'm excited to see how this mid-range response will play out when several tracks stacked on top of each other.
We received the A/D's enclosures this morning, and the production run PCB's will be here in ten days. Right now, Jim is finishing up the silkscreening design. The only major thing we have left is to name it...we haven't settled on anything yet.
Any suggestions?
