mpcstuff has them for $180 i think, where did you get yours. how was the install? the mpcstuff site also says you need the akai os installed to change the pads....true? thanks for any help. mine work fine but im still changing out.
yep, they are a little bit "softer" - but only because there's about a 1mm space between the pad and the sensor. i like the feeling a lot better. i programmed a couple of loops last night and no more double triggers.

if you've installed something inside a pc or a laptop before, you should be able to handle the install. there's a video up on how to do it here:

i bought mine from VST in pasadena, and i installed the new JJ OS.
