Furman M vs PM series power conditioners

Can any one tell me if it is really worth the extra money to move up to the PM series of Furman power conditioners? I have 4 of the M-8 and M-8Ls powering most of my gear.

I was thinking of upgrading these and actually putting the old ones in fron of the new ones (more filtering anf more surge protection...right?).

I know there is better, higher-end stuff out there. I run a mid-range studio (probably less than 100k US worth of gear). My budget is not large, but I love my gear. I already have the current Furmans chained through 2, good surge suppressors. I am not too worried about that (apart from 100% isolation and possible running on DC, a big lightning strike will get through just about anything...I am born and raised in Florida, I've seen it happen!).

My primary goal is line noise filtering/cleaning. What about buying 2, 20amp MPs and running the rest of the Ms to them? Would that give me what I'm looking for?

Thanks!
