But we used denser fiberglass. I wanted to get owens corning but due to budget and time issues had to go with the home depot stuff. If you just plan on flat mounting panels like you have on the wall then they would work fine for mids and high frequencies, but for bass traps you need to have open backs (no wood covering the back side) to make it work. The panel would need to straddle the corner or mounted off the wall 4". FYI even mounting the panel off the wall 4" helps but to really bass trap you would want to straddle corners.
