Funny you mention that, because my mobile rig is being built specifically to support audio and video streaming to the net. I've got 40-tracks of audio and 6-channels of video over a satellite connection from the truck.
On the topic of streaming from GS .... my streams are by way of my membership in tapers.org, which comes with a shoutcast account to their streaming server. It will support up to 500 128k connections, so it's come in very handy mor than once.
I don't know anything about GS's hosting arrangement, but I can't imagine that setting up a shoutcast server for GS peeps would be difficult. I run one out of my house as well on Verizon FIOS service (2mbs up). If GS wants to check it for its site out I'd be down with helping out anyway that's needed.
