I am only a few months into C4 but this may be of some help so try this...
Bring up your mixer window. In the upper left coner you will see small up/down arrows. Click on the up arrow. You will now see 4 boxes above each channel.
At the bottom of each of these new boxes are another set of up/down arrows.Click on the down arrow and a menu appears that will allow you to change the option and view of this strip.
Scroll to meter and click. You will now see the input level for that channel. I use this option and eq curve quite a bit. Hope this helps,
