hmm maybe i'm missing something here but......
In Logic set the kick to send to bus 1(for example) - set an aux to input bus 1 and output to bus 3 - stick an eq on the aux. now put a comp on your bass track and set the sidechain input to bus 3. on the aux eq exaggerate the freq you want to get rid of on the receiving track.
