Yeah, thanks for the thread! I bought a 57 on ebay a few weeks ago and guess what? MY 57 matches your 57s! I don't have another 57 to compare, but I have a 58 that is much heavier and has different colored wiring. I think I'll keep it for novelty, hell I got a great deal on it!
